Description

Delicious daisy-themed cupcakes that are perfect for any celebration!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Food coloring (yellow, white, and green)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • ½ cup butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • Edible decorations (such as candy or sprinkles)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  5. Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir until smooth.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  7. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy, adding milk gradually to achieve your desired consistency. Separate into bowls and color using food coloring as needed.
  10. Once the cupcakes are cool, use a piping bag or knife to frost them. Create your daisy designs using the colored frosting, and add edible decorations for extra flair.

Notes

  • Ensure the cupcakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
  • Experiment with different colors for the frosting to create a unique look.
