Description

A delicious peach cobbler that is perfect for dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (or canned peaches, drained)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness of peaches)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Toss to coat and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9-inch baking dish. Spoon the topping mixture over the peaches evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Adjust the sugar depending on the sweetness of the peaches used.
  • Can be served with ice cream or whipped cream for added sweetness.
