Description

A fun and colorful way to dye hard-boiled eggs for Easter!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cup hard-boiled eggs
  • ¼ white distilled vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare Vinegar Spray: Pour vinegar into a small spray bottle.
  2. Wrap Eggs: Place each egg (pointed end down) inside a coffee filter, securing it with a rubber band.
  3. Apply Dye: Wearing gloves if desired, add three drops of each color to the coffee filter. Let the dye spread naturally.
  4. Set Color: Lightly spritz each wrapped egg with vinegar and let sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Enhance Design: Unwrap the eggs and use the dye-soaked filters to dab any remaining white spots. Let dry for another 5 minutes.
  6. Add Stars: Dip the toothbrush into white paint, then flick the bristles with your thumb or finger to splatter the eggs. Rotate for even coverage.
  7. Dry & Enjoy: Let eggs dry for 15 minutes or overnight before handling.
