Description

A delicious creamy shrimp fettuccine pasta dish, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner!


Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup pasta water (reserved)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce.
