- 4 cups whole milk (or oat milk)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Pinch of salt

Instructions
- Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a medium saucepan, combine rinsed rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat while stirring occasionally.
- Add the cinnamon stick and vanilla extract; reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes until thickened, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat, discard the cinnamon stick, and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm in bowls and top with optional ingredients like raisins or nuts.
